Getting Ready For Your Newborn Session
Sleepy, warm and fed baby = happy baby
To keep the baby warm and cozy I do use a small space heater during my sessions as well as a white noise machine.
If you are able to, feed and change baby before the session.
If your baby takes a pacifier, have one on hand. They help tremendously when transitioning baby into different poses or soothing baby when it is not quite time for a feeding.
Prepare: calm parents = calm baby
Newborn photography can be messy. I will be prepared with plenty of towels and wipes. Please don’t worry if your baby makes a “mess” on props/blankets! That is what babies do. All wraps/blankets are washed after every session.
Every session/baby is unique and special. Some babies sleep right away and some don’t. Newborn sessions can take longer than expected depending on your newborn’s sleeping/eating schedule. Patience is key with newborn photography.
We can take as many breaks as necessary for diaper changes, feedings, and cuddles!
